Recognizing the warning signs can make a difference.

  • Runaway or homeless youth

  • Carrying excessive amounts of cash

  • Multiple hotel keys or cell phones

  • Branding tattoos or jewelry (names or initials, especially on the neck)

  • Someone always speaking for them

  • Never being left alone

  • Signs of physical injury or abuse

  • Fear, anxiety, or emotional manipulation
